1979 Graduated BA - University Of Canterbury
1980 Graduated MA Honours - University Of Canterbury
1981 Diploma in Secondary Teaching – Christchurch College of Education
1982-1993 Taught full time at Kaiapoi High School - mainly senior English. Adult night school classes –The genuine empathy with people’s needs that is necessary to succeed in the classroom prepared me well for my career in Real Estate.
1994 Began Real Estate career with Harveys Kent Prier – I quickly became their top sales person and top Auction lister for the group – a position I held for a number of years.
2000 Joined Harcourts Grenadier and often figured in the Top 20 for their group.
2006/7 Achieved my AREINZ qualification.
2007/9 Successfully managed Shoreline Harbourside Real Estate during what many people consider the most challenging period in Real Estate history. This hands on simultaneous sales/management experience is invaluable.
2010 After considerable reflection I made the decision to join the Ray White Group. I was inspired and encouraged to do this through a long business association with Adam Rogers – the Principal of Next Step Realty Limited. Besides the obvious advantages of Ray White’s National and International network. The Next Step Realty office works well in conjunction with my home based office in Lyttelton.
In addition the welcoming staff and experience peer support within the Ray White Group, a number of whom I have known and respected as Real Estate professionals for many years, proved definitive for me, as it adds discernable value to appraisals and sales outcome. All of these factors made my decision to join forces with Ray White a compelling one.
My Personal Interests:-
My interests are wide and varied and include, film, theatre, reading, black and white photography, gardening, historic home restoration, fitness, travel-both locally and abroad. Above all my family. Collapse
